New Beers!

This morning we received two fantastic and unbelievably unique beers from a
small brewery in Milton, Delaware called Dogfish Head.

DOGFISH HEAD PANGAEA - The first beer to be brewed with an ingredient from ever continent, (crystallized ginger from Australia, water from Antarctica, basmati
rice from Asia, etc...

Here is a picture of Pangaea (the beer, not the super continent) and a picture
of the McMurdo Station in Antarctica where the water was extracted for Pangaea.

We loved the idea and thought you would to. As for the beer, it's very, very
good. It has a light orange color. A vibrant lemon and lime aroma, bursting
with ginger and other spicing, Belgian yeast and light fruit. It's very-saison
like, especially in the mouth feel, achieving a very bubbly, fizzy feel on the
palate. On the finish, honey and spice follow with an emphasis on ginger and
Belgian yeast. Very good and the spicing is not overpowering, but nicely
balanced and well integrated within the beer. 7% a.b.v.

DOGFISH HEAD FORT - Dogfish Head continues to pioneer the extreme beers in the United States. This is not your typical fruit beer, it's the world's strongest
fruit beer, brewed with Oregon and Delaware raspberries. We haven’t tried Fort
yet, but knowing Dogfish Head, it should be very impressive. 18% a.b.v.

AVERY NEW WORLD PORTER - Also, one of our favorite seasonal beers just arrived. New World Porter from Avery Brewing Company in Boulder is available for only $ 6.99 a 6 Pack. This is chocolaty, roasty and fruity like a porter, but it is
hopped in an outrageous manner, similar to India Pale Ale. It is known around
here as the “Black IPA.” Try it!
